  • Transaction Data: Information related to course purchases and payouts. Payments are processed securely via Stripe; we do not store your full credit card details.
  • Technical Data: IP addresses and browser cookies used for security and to maintain your session.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Facilitate the creation and management of virtual classrooms.
  • Process payments and platform fees.
  • Improve platform functionality and user experience.
  • Communicate essential updates and support.
  • For Google Users: Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We only share your information in the following ways:

  • Within Classrooms: Teachers and students can see relevant profile information (like names and posts) to facilitate learning and interaction.
  • Service Providers: We use third-party tools to host our platform (Bubble.io/AWS) and process payments (Stripe). These providers are only permitted to use your data to perform services for us.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

4. International Data Transfers

Learnrooms.org is hosted on servers located in the United States. By using our services, users outside the US (including those in Australia and Europe) acknowledge that their personal information will be transferred to and processed in the US. We ensure our hosting partners maintain rigorous security standards to protect this data.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Regardless of where you live, you have control over your data:

  • Access & Correction: You can update your profile information directly through your account settings.
  • Data Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us. We will process these requests within 30 days, subject to any legal requirements to retain financial records.
